Did a bit of wet sanding on the hood of the pickup today, looks like it's going to come out ok. Going to use the Tri-Zac on this one, never tried it before, then start buffing.

(quote Bobby D) Yeah big difference i guess . I'm trying to donate at least 15 hours or more a week . With the attached garage though working on it at midnight is out of the question . Wife would have a rolling pin in her hand alot LOL.

Bobby, reminds me of the time I was spraying my frame purple in the garage, and my wife had the dryer running with her nurses uniforms in there. I didn't know dryers sucked up air.........and anything else in the air.

She ended up with purple tinted uniforms............I think it was shortly after that she divorced me. Some people have NO sense of humor.

Don LOL my wifes a nurse also. I havent got to that stage yet but hopefully primeing the frame should be soon. I figure to hang multi walls of plastic to interior door in hopes to stop infiltration into house. I figured out a way to make a cheap down draft style venting with a old furnace blower i have it should move about 1000 or more cfm to help with fumes and overspray .

I have a septic and where it sits will only allow a 16 ft wide garage . I want a 24 by 36 for toy fun just waiting on city sewer and water .

Did come home tonight and welded some of my nuts to the frame. Was telling the welder sshhh a bit .

You are a bigger man than me Bluestang, it would be hard for me to be quite welding my nuts to the frame! I would be singing like Florrance Nightingale!!

Truck is looking good Dave, is the kid camping out outside your house yet? I bet he can't wait to get in his truck and cruise.

I got the drivers door finished yesterday, solenoid working, all the trim repainted and installed, new wing window rubber installed. Got to come up with an armrest of some kind now.

Brick looks good i like the 2 tone door trim . Light blue with a light gray bottom or is it light blue both are nice . Interior is sharp , i like the arm rests in the 06 explorer where door handle is at the front built into it .

I don't do anything stock... This one I would call a "mild custom", but there is a long list of very subtle little mods on the truck. The colors are both Ford colors, just from different years. Competition white and plain old Ford Bright Red. The seat and headliner are done up in the same colors. Nothing too spectacular on the truck, rolled pans, filled seams, some shinys under the hood, change the rear suspension a bit, and a bunch of other little things. I'll be starting on another one next fall for me, complete with a Cummins Turbo Diesel, chopped, channeled, stretched and the works.... I'm using this truck to teach a newbie to Hot Rods some of the old techniques rather then just opening the catalog and buying more bolt ons.....

Reason you don't know is it looks like the mods pulled the spam. Something about some website or something, then some guy comes on, first post, and says he has used them to sell a Mercury and they are the greatest.

    Spam, spam, spam, spam.

Some of us even got PMs from them.

But, they are all gone now, thanks Mods.
