Thanks Blue, I appreciate it, I don't have to tell you that not knowing anything about upholstry makes things a real adventure but great fun. Something like that E-brake boot. I may just raise the shifter up some more and put a smaller boot on it also. Don't know, I will be looking at them seriously this weekend in Springfield."Sunshine, a street rod and a winding beautiful Ozarks road is truely Bliss!"

I can't take the gredit for that, the wife is the seemstress of the family. Oh and she sewed all of it on a $150.00 machine, it's all tweed also so I can tell you it isn't any sweat if you have a good sharp needle in your machine.Last edited by brickman; 05-24-2007 at 08:06 PM.

a bit of progress
The buffing is progressing on Bill's C-10, still have to get at the suspension and get this beast down!!!!
Not much on my '71, dug out an old set of bed rails and set them on to look at. Thinking maybe powder coat them "red chrome" and build a racer back fairing (or whatever we call them today) on the front of the box.... If I'd quit coming up with ideas, might actually get the dang thing done someday...... 16 years and counting!!!! Geez!!!!

Got the door posts boxed in and started aligning the passenger side door. Going to install bear claw latches & make lift off hinges."PLAN" your life like you will live to 120.

Pro get some good shots of bear claw install . I need some ideas to help me. I'd keep the straps as extra holding power.

Really looking good pro70, may I ask a dumb question? What is the purpose of having the doors so they lift off?"Sunshine, a street rod and a winding beautiful Ozarks road is truely Bliss!"

I finally got to the point of firing up the engine yesterday. Man, it sure felt good to hear noise coming from those mufflers again.

Pro 60 wow that sure sounds great . So what is it 3 or 4 gallons to the mile. I do enjoy hearing those big cammed engines pulse.

To be honest, I go thru 2 1/2 gallons on every 1/4 mile pass, from start-up to shut-down, so it's more like 10 gallons to the mile.Mike Casella

I worked on the car last night till the wee hours of the early evening to get the car to this point. About another 3 hours worth of work, and it'll be done, so to speak.
