$20 gets me to school and back 2 times in that thing.... thats about 80miles haha. my buddy is always wanting to take it out when we go out on the weekends so my deal is if you pay for some gas we can ride haha

Realy fine looking pick up

rc nice looking truck you have going there. Looks great at its stance. How long you been building it , I guess like so many a lifetime . We have so many things that come first . I get to work more on week ends and a little during the week. Keep it going we do like to see the progress and ultimatley the finshed pics with the smile .



Adding pics just go into edit post and in there you will see manage attachments thru there you can add to post . Do same even when just posting a reply to place in a pic.

although i started in early '94 i've actually only got about 5-6 yrs into it. i'm going thru cardiac rehab from my surgery and the hospital bills just started rolling in so it may be 2 more before it's done.

I'm @ 5 yrs. & counting. Having to work on it sorta' takes the fun out of it.

4 yrs & counting for me and still in there battling. I know not to stop because it may be the end. I wouldn't give any of it up for the world, it's been great fun.

Since there is a pause in the paint schedule, my car is on the way to the glass shop for all new side glass.

couple shots of sub frame and smoothing welds out . A little splatter from touching up sides so they will be uniform in size.

Brick yep it seems to slow at times cant wait till saturday to start the top chop.

Layed out the top tonight . I used 3M painters tape was really surprised at the precision cut edges that allmost followed them self around the car. It worked very well with all the contours laying down very smoothly. One concern was if the rattle can would be to aggressive for the tape. Went with out a problem another well made 3M tape product. Well plans are to wake early put a new blade in the saw and new cut off wheel on and have at it . Hope im not useing to much server . Couple pics

Wish i had the spacers i saw Don's son useing they looked like the right ticket for space.

Looks like a plan, Bob. Only thing you might consider before cutting is some bracing to hold things together when you cut. Those rounded edges sometimes tend to fold in when you make the cuts.... A bit of bracing tacked into place seems to hold them in place and the chopping goes a bit easier...

where do you mean Dave at the rear around the corners

I did what i think was all angles of movement in the front

Dave Ok went out and looked it over in back real good i think i see what you mean few more braces will not hurt Thank You

Yup, that will help a bunch. Without the bracing you could end up chasing the door frames or one corner 3 or 4 laps around the shop trying to get it lined up!!!!!

3 inches lower and 8 hours to get it here . A few finishing touches to tighten a few spots and its ready for spot welding before and after.

Henry your right not a straight drop in the rear radiaus a little slit to help bring them together.

Dave i added the ones to the rear before cutting T Y for the idea.

Bob TY also the leave a little extra and the grinding part made a really straight and allready close gap .
