No, not painted yet, but very soon. We have 4 days off of work next week and will hopefully finish what little bodywork is left then and squirt it with a little paint. I think we're gonna paint it a flat gunmetal gray (like the frame). A couple gallons of gunmetal gray mixed with some talcum power to flatten it out. Well, getting things together on the Merc. All the wiring is ran and about 90% connected. I really like the way the smaller back window changed the look of the back of the car and cleaned up the roof line. Today I fabbed a fan shroud, got to fire up the tig and make it a one piece now, not much left under the hood except to install the senders for the gauges.....As soon as we decide for sure which gauges to put in it. Dakota Digital makes an all in one that would fit where the original speedometer went in the Merc.
Also got the front suspension rebuilt, new brake pads, turned the rotors, etc. Coming along fairly well This one next month will be taking a trip (via trailer) to a company we have been negotiating with on building the bodies.... See what they think of it and what kind of deal we can make with them... After that the car will be ready for paint and for sale. (Well, after a few test cruises it will be for sale)

Me too!!! This one has been nothing but a battle since day one, sure is good to finally make a bit of progress and at least be able to see the end of the project..... Anymore, if I get a solid 4 hours of PRODUCTIVE shop time in a day, I consider it a good day.... Getting old ain't for sissies!!!!!

Yup, everything is glass.... Lots of steel reinforcement, some carbon fiber matting and other high strenth matting. It's a solid car, you should see the knot on my head where I walked into the deck lid yesterday!!!!!!!!:LOL: :LOL:
I'm realy close now all glass in most of interior done. Need to finish rear bumper. I saved ( per some peoples sugestion) the HAPPY HOOT"S sticker I found on the tailgaet under several layers of paint. Just need to know if I should put clear on it or leave it as is?????

A friend of mine dropped off a set of heads & a block after I mentioned I would like to replace the foam mock up block & heads on the "Z". The foam just isn't strong enough to hold the headers solid. So, Today he shows up with a block & set of heads. :toocool: :toocool: :toocool: Thanks to Lou & Billy for helpin' me out.
