There were 40,493 standard Ranch wagons and 43,671 customline Ranch wagons made in 1955. Thats a fair amount of ranch's considering Ford made only 626,250 cars that year in the U.S.

I guess you really cant determine rarity by how many were made, but by how many still exist. Ive only seen a handfull in maybe the last decade.

BTW... your idea of going for the flatblack/no gloss, flamed, whitewalled and moon disced look sounds like a great idea.
