Here's a pair of new Currie cut-to-fit axles for my Ford 9 inch rear end. I bought them to cure a brake rotor runout problem that I found.

After reading about another forum member having excessive brake rotor runout, I checked mine and found it to be over four times the .008 inch maximum suggested by Wilwood. With brand new rotors, I suspected an axle problem and sure enough, it measured over .015 inch.

Oze provides axles from John's 9 inch factory. All they are is salvage yard axles, cut shorter and resplined. They don't even attempt a skim cut on the axle face, to true it up.

The new axles come with SET 20 bearings that use gear oil for lube and eliminates the oil seal in the axle housing.

Another problem I found was gear lube had leaked past one of the housing seals. Could have been a damaged seal or a defective sealing surface on the axle. Doesn't matter now, with the new axles.
