I've dealt more with Summit than JEGS, but my experience with them standing behind their stuff has been excellent. I'd call them and talk through the situation, and follow up with pictures if they ask. Montgomery is closer to College Station than it is to Houston, so your atmosphere is not rust promoting, IMO. You may get some of the residual humidity from the Houston area, but it's not like you've been running the surf at Padre Island. If JEGS balks go direct to Cragar, and keep going until you reach the CEO by letter, explaining all the steps you take.
