Not titled or registered yet, so this is as much driving as she gets at one time right now.

Drove over to Ft. Mifflin today just to get out of the house on a gorgeous day and drive drive drive. It's along the river in Philadelphia and I think we used to shoot cannons at tax collectors from here ...so it's near and dear to my heart, IRS.

Driving impressions Nick? Is the 427 meeting or exceeding expectations?

I love it, Bob. It's very tractable when just driving, exhaust is not too loud, but when I blip or hammer the throttle it immediately comes to life. I would have to say it exceeded my expectations.

I think you asked this earlier, if I'm driving at like ~25mph ~2000rpm or so and hit the gas, it does spin the tires. I think that's only part of what you asked. I just got home a few minutes ago from my 50th reunion of my elementary school graduating class. It was a lot of fun and I can't believe all of us older folks look so much the same...except older.

Yeah, reunions are a trip. Awhile back (about 3 years) I went to my 40th HS reunion. My question was dealing with tire spin in 2nd gear and not downshifting to 1st. I would guess if you rolled it on at 25 mph your automatic would have downshifted to 1st gear. I can't use much more than 1/2 throttle in 1st, but if I short shift to 2nd at 30 mph, the engine rpm is low enough I can roll on all the throttle and won't have any tire spin till about 60 mph.

Cruising around again today and on my way home I stopped in front of Memorial Hall in Fairmount Park in Philadelphia. I live about 15 mins from here just outside the western side of Philly. It was built for the Centennial Exposition held here in 1876, along with many other buildings and monuments throughout the park.

Went for another cruise today. I don't know how it is around where you live, but how often could I shoot a pic with my hot rod next to a field full of llamas. So I had to stop and take a pic.

Then a few minutes later as I was about to turn around and head home, I spot another hot rod in a gas station so I had to stop. Nice guy, name Dick R., so we stood there and b.s.'d for a hour. I got his card "Hot Rods & Customs" "Over 30 years of Rodding experience" so I'm sure we'll meet up again.

Earlier this evening I was cruising down one of my favorite roads around here, Goshen Rd. (aka Goshen Grand Prix due to fun curves and terrain) and stopped at the Crum Creek covered bridge that I've been meaning to get a photo of the hot rod there.
