Looks good Ryan. I think the originals were a bit narrower but the shape is right on.

I think you're right Mike. I have thought about narrowing it up but the whole air cleaner debacle is holding that up. I need to find/build an upper shroud for them. Were the flat head fords the only ones that had a louvered upper oil bath/air cleaner top?

Times 2, it will look amazing once you finish.
What are you going to use for a filter? Do you want to mimic an original or are you going to leave the media exposed?

I'm on the fence. First I thought that having it in an enclosure would hurt power. But then I got real and realized that the big HP 392's in the Chrysler 300s had these so I doubt they would rob horsepower. So, I wouldn't mind trying to mimic an original and have the media covered. Also, I think it might actually be a good idea to have the filters draw the air from the top of the lid instead of the bottom so the engine isn't pulling hot air in right off the heads. i'm not sure it will matter with a hood on and setting in traffic though?

I also thought about just having a 7"x3" or so filter under each wing and call it good. The original style with enclosed elements might look better or more nostalgic though?

I'm "intrigued" with the 7x3 (or 4) concept.. many possibilities there I think.
