Life sometimes does not seem fair! While getting ready for retirement my dad went in for a physical which resulted in finding prostate cancer. He put off retirement while going thru radiation and within a couple years was able to retire at 62. Cancer popped back up when he was 71 and this did not go well. It was esophagus cancer this time. Checkups are no guarantee but they are our best chance to catch something early and survive. Something I found as I got older. I'm not as shy (or don't care) as I was when a young man. My last two GP's have been female! Wohoo!!
