Jack you are right,they don't know the value of a particular vehicle. Will take some time before that is worked out. A law passed a couple of years ago list what the vehicle being sold is worth then they charge you a 6.25 % fee.

When I was building the coupe I had to pay the 6.25 % on the chassis cost as it was the only document titled to it. The parts body,etc. I brought in later from out of state I paid no tax. When I sold the coupe ( 3 wks. ago) a value was declared as they have no value list completed on these cars. This new law helps in some ways and hinders in others.
