Yes, it was built by John Nissen and Tom Stephens at Nissen's Hot Rod Garage in Williams, California. This was their own personal build over 5 years, evenings and week-ends when not working on customer cars. There is a group of us that goes on a "freeze your buns run" every new years day. The destination is only known to a couple guys who organize it. A few times after eating brunch somewhere we have ended up at Nissen's to see what they are building. We got to see both these builds in progress, the truck a couple times. They are amazingly talented.
Depending on weather, it may be here next week. I found a guy that was coming from Idaho to Northern CA with an empty trailer to pick up a car. So he gets some expense money and I save a road trip.
