Thanks for the pics Pat!!!! Looks like the Kustoms are alive and well again!!!! After all these years, maybe I'm coming back in style??? Now where the heck did I leave my bellbottoms and sandals????

That baby blue drop top '59 Caddy is just plain drop dead gorgeous!!!!!

I like that red truck! She's a real beauty.

Dave, take a close look at this one, I had the privilege of seeing it in various stages of build. It is a truly amazing '48 Ford F1. You would like it because it has a centrifcal blown Ford 406 for power. Fenders front and back are front fenders from a LaSalle. It has parts of more than 20 cars in it and has over 1500 louvers including a complete belly pan. It won four awards at the Grand National in LA and had already claimed 2 yesterday morning, including the Sam Barris award. I took quite a few pictures of including some drawings.

Yup, was looking at that one too Pat.... wasn't even sure enough of what year it was to make a comment on it!!!! But it sure is a nice one, the detail work really, really makes it stand apart!!!! Some local there by you taking the credit for the build??? If so, pass on kudo's from another old kustom freak for a very awsome pick-em-up!!!! Did you get your new ride home yet?

Yes, it was built by John Nissen and Tom Stephens at Nissen's Hot Rod Garage in Williams, California. This was their own personal build over 5 years, evenings and week-ends when not working on customer cars. There is a group of us that goes on a "freeze your buns run" every new years day. The destination is only known to a couple guys who organize it. A few times after eating brunch somewhere we have ended up at Nissen's to see what they are building. We got to see both these builds in progress, the truck a couple times. They are amazingly talented.

Depending on weather, it may be here next week. I found a guy that was coming from Idaho to Northern CA with an empty trailer to pick up a car. So he gets some expense money and I save a road trip.

Hey Pat, must of missed you. Maybe you heard my boys complaining the whole time I was there. Two hours of not so much fun. Oh well. Sorry I missed ya. Gotta look at the pics to remember what I walked past.

Thanks a bunch for that link,Pat..some awesome stuff there,do like that 48 Ford pickup,amazing workmanship on that...I wish I was half that good...:eek:
And my mrs wants that 59 Ford wagon...oh well,the pressure is off me to do the Galaxie straight after the Customline,I suppose,,:confused:

I still can't believe it's a 48!(and I own one!) I thought it was an earlier year based on the lights, grill and fenders! Some amazing skill and time and cash in that one!
