    you can get on and off the sheet metal with the mig more so then the tig for small lower heat tacks fast .well for me any ways i like to have a hammer and dolly not to far away to work at abit as i go .tig welding is not that hard abit slower then mig .but better weld fillet control for welds that look so good you want to frame them and hand them on the wall .your son should take to it like a duck to water
