And a Cobra parked behind that. Nice!

someone shared a pic of his garage and I was drooling over the cathedral ceiling and nice drywall, very stylish.
someday I will redo my drywall job adding insulation, but last year I sided it when I did the house. I just HAD to add a 36" round window above the double garage door for an archetectural statement. Cant wait to finish my car so I can slate tile the floor (would stand up to weld spatter)
DReam garage? I want a stone turret on the corner of my garage with a backhoed underground tunnel into the basement of my house- good for plumbing/sewer connection...
The episode of ReZONED that features our place will be rebroadcast this Sunday at 6PM CST on HGTV.
Then at 8:30 PM ReZONED will feature my neighbors place where he renovated on old blacksmith shop.
Some nice shots of the house, show room and cars...not much of the shop.
see attached:

When did it come on!!! I was up until 8 eastern time looking for it and nothing on it came up. It had some thing about like house pets and all these people whos houses are made to fit like 10 birds, a horse and junk.....
After viewing ink in the Milw. Sent. I appreciated the heads up
for the "reZoned." As a youngster I do recall the Stude- Israel Motors.
Retired from the construction industry and can certainly appreciate all your time and effort
to attain your dream. Well done and for sure-- 2 thumbs up.

Yeah I actually printed his times out so I remember :p I am pretty pissed about missing it though because I doubt I will remember again about it. Not sure why it didn't come on.
Yellow stickies FMX, a bunch of yellow stickies all over the place.:D
Larry M.
Hahaha. Then I will look at them and think to myself "What the heck are these things doing here?, they are sure annoying!" :p
I know what ya mean! But the older I get the more of those damn yellow stickies I have around the house to remind me what I need to do!!:D

I have no idea when it will be re broadcast as the program guide at www.HGTV.com is both inaccurate and incomplete.
Our place was featured on episode #108 and it is neither mentioned in the show description or listed for future broadcast times.
They did send us a DVD of the show and each time we watch it, we see something new! It sure goes fast!
By the way...for your garage nuts...have you been over to www.garagejunkies.net ?
Now there are some works of art!
Yeah that site is great. I looked around there a lot and man some of those guys have some MONEY! There is one guy there from what, spain is it? He has all the Farrari's and Lambos or such inside his garage? But yeah, I am going to keep looking for it because I have been waiting forever to see it and told a ton of people about it!
I saw it, Excellent job!! From what the program showed, it really looks like huge amount of work went into it, and I'm sure the TV really didnt do that aspect of it justice. I especially like the garage and show room.

The house part is VERY nice. Who designed the interior and layout of that house part? The way it all is from the pics looks very awesome. Colors are very good and the tile is nice with the big rugs in the living space and dining space.
After firing 3 architects, my wife designed the place, was the general contractor, she purchased all the material including the elevator! She got the bids, negotiated contracts and expedited the entire project.
We did a LOT of the work ourselves: We cleaned and gutted the building before the old roof came off. We did the electric, replastering, finish carpentry, staining & varnishing, glass block and both the floor and bathroom tile. She did the interior design and the landscaping.
Yes... it was a lot of work but we saved a TON of $$$.
Because of our efforts, this project cost us less than had we bought a lot and built a house!
When asked: "What was the hardest part of this project?"
My wife replies: "Stay'n married!!!"
NOTE: I can be a real jerk because I'm anal and expect nothing but perfection. The contractors hated me... so she also was the buffer so they wouldn't walk off the job. ( they had a name for me that I can't print here)
"We" = Myself, my wife, our 2 sons, my father-in-law, brother-in-law and brother.
WHEW...it was a LOT of work... we are still trying to regain our sanity.
Gives proof to the old adage-
Behind every driving force is a woman! :D
Well all I gotta say is awesome. Glad it all came through though.
For those that might've missed it, the ReZONED program will be rebroadcast
this Sunday night April 30th then again May 28 at 7:00PM E
Let's hope I get to watch it again this time!!!
I've been shopping for a 4-post lift recently and I gotta tell ya, this is worse than shopping for a used car! Too many sales reps for various companies just want to bad-mouth other brands. Ultimately, I get disgusted and discouraged, not knowing who to believe, and do what I should have done in the beginning, ask you guys. Does anyone have experience with Bend Pak? I've been thinking about the 9K models. Have had at least two competitors tell me Bend Pak is not "made in the U.S.A." , but manufactured in China, shipped here and "assembled" in the U.S. The Bend Pak rep I've talked to assures me they are in fact, completely made in the U.S.. I called Bend Pak direct, and the person I spoke with there said "yes, they are made right here at our plant in California.". Regardless- any of you have opinions on this? BTW, I do have a 220V receptacle just for a lift. I just don't want to spend 3K+ for a "hobby" lift if it's not necessary. YES!, safety is my #1 concern. One dealer in Texas who seems pretty honest, and helpful, and who sells imports, Garage Master, which he says is made in the U.S., and Bend Pak has advised me that, for my home/light duty use, I'd be fine with a 7K rated import. How about Direct Lift? Boy am I confused! Thanks folks
I bought the 7000 lb lift with plate on floor. Bought it on line 6 years ago. Works great and I am completly satisfied with it. Mine was made in america, but that was 6 years ago. i paid 2200 there was free shipping then.
always keep your work space organized
bought this ( Plymouth dash, complete) last summer at the Monroe swap meet,.
I was planning on hanging it from the wall or ceiling, but thought an addition for my workbench would be wise.
I hooked up a fluoresent light behind it, and the overhead light is adjustable up & down, just like the eyesight .
but heck, I love light , period

I made my 4 bulb adjustable, both to ease replacement & ease of brightness. 41
my 4 car garage i had built for my habbit  pic is with my wife and my hotrod that she enjoys to polish ....god bless her because i hate to polish

It took a lot of talent and fortitude to take on such a large project and to have it turn out like that.
I did a remodel on my basement and I wished that I had your talent. My basement looks OK, but not that nice.
I'm afraid to post pix of my garage..........between a Southbend lathe, Mill, 2 drill presses, 2 welders, plasma cutting cart, a set of rollers, a planishing hammer & stand, a large snap-on box, 2 motorcycle lifts & a frig I find SPACE to be a premium.
On occasion I'm forced into the driveway to complete stuff.......
I need a professional to lay out my garage space for me.
My three car garage is no match for me & my habit.

I am getting quotes on materials for a 30'X40' garage in the hill country of central Texas. Should begin construction in 5 or 6 months. I have a bunch of ideas of how best set it all up but can't make up my mind (8' or 10' ceilings etc.). I can't wait to move my project in and have more space to work.
If you go with 10' ceilings I'd use sissor truss at the back end so you'd have height for a hoist some time in the future.
Definitely go with the 10' ceiling ht.When you start lifting bodies off the chassis you'll be glad you did. Also if you add a post lift you'll need it.
Ran out of room in my 3 bay barn, adding a 16ft by 24 ft addition with 13ft walls so I can add a lift. While I'm doing this, need to upgrade the electric so I can use a 60watt bulb at the same time as my air compressor..........lol
Here's a few pics of mine... My dad and I built it last year...Only thing we paid someone else to do was the concrete and the initial excavation.
Nice joeybsyc!
Where did you get the workbench???
That place is NOT right........not enough clutter.....& the floors are way to clean.
