At least they gave you the courtesy of a response.
I understand their reasoning for the moving cut off year, but I don't like it. 1972 would have been much better, and so what if they had to revisit the cut off year again in 20 years, or even every 10 years. Hell, they kept the same one for 61 years.
While I know that foreign cars have always been accepted, they were old and pre-49 vehicles. Not the same as a massed produced Asian cars. I have a number of young friends who drive tuner cars but I suspect that very few will show up for the event. First, they are not NSRA members and they won't spend their money to join and then to pay registration fees. Plus, they probably won't have many friends there because the friends can't get in free.
and they sure as hell ain't going to pop for $14/day per person just to hang out and look at "old stuff".

I do expect that we will be seeing a lot of new vendors selling tuner stuff and NOS systems, heavy duty speakers and woofers, and go-fast goodies for post-49 foreign cars.
All that new vendor space should add to the NSRA coffers pretty nicely.
I suspect the parking lots will look like the segregation era all over again, but this time it will be about cars.
I guess we'll just have to keep an eye out for the ones driven by guys/gals with green or purple spiked hair and try to avoid parking near them. Unless you want to risk being called a "tuner lover".

A good friend will come and bail you out of jail....but a true friend will be sitting next to you saying..."Damn....that was fun!

Thanks guys! It's been a long road. Fun doing finishing work for sure. Getting the dash ready for paint and some interior trim. Have to do some finish work on the aluminum headliner before...
