out of work, out of luck
Well ladies and gentlemen, when I got laid off five months ago, I wasn't too worried about it. My job skills are varied, my credentials are good, my refrences are many.
but here we are. I cannot believe there are others more qualified than I.. but obviously there are because I have been turned down by many good jobs.
anyway, I have given up on the corprate job hunt, and am pursuing a second military career. Funny that.. if I had stayed in, I could retire this year. Oh well.
Anyway.. I am getting rid of a lot of garbage.. and giving up on a lot of projects in the wings. TO WIT.. my 36 chevrolet master sedan just rolled off. boy, it was a JOB winching it up on the trailer with a comalong.
yesterday, I hauled a truck load ( full size truck load ) of junk to the dump. I went through the storage sheds, and if it has been in there for a year and not touched, it went! Then I took a car load of stuff and donated it. Earlier this year, I took two truck loads of metal scrap to dump. And I have at least one more to go. Just getting everything ship shape before I ship out.
HUUAAAHHH!!!.
Education is expensive. Keep that in mind, and you'll never be terribly upset when a project goes awry.
EG

Thanks guys! It's been a long road. Fun doing finishing work for sure. Getting the dash ready for paint and some interior trim. Have to do some finish work on the aluminum headliner before...
