Now it's clear how the judging was done. The taller of the trophies to the taller of the two cars, the short and stubby to.......................

Thanks for the show pics Don. That Pontiac was super clean. It was at the Nostalgia Drags/Show in West Palm Beach. Here's a couple of close-up photos that I took.

    Don,
Has anyone else verified that you finished second? Who knows, with all of the excitement, Don Jr may have become confused. j/k

Congratulations to both of you. With the competition you had, you should both be very proud.

Hmmmmmmmmmmm, ya know, I am starting to wonder. He is avoiding my phone calls and his GF says he is "busy." BTW Don, I didn't realize your trophy was THAT much bigger!!

Thanks guys for the nice words. Always a little sheepish to say "hey, I won a trophy" but I know in this crowd it is accepted for what it was.....simply a guy who never gets many of these and is surprised beyond belief when the judges take pity on me.

I went to a little cruise tonight right from work. I drove my T to work today, and got the the cruise about 5:30. A friend told me that this place in Ft Myers Beach has a cruise the first Monday of each month, and I expected maybe 10 cars to show up. When I got there they said "sorry, we are filled up already and don't have room for you. I gave them my best puppy dog look and they said "well, your car is small, so we will find room." The place was jammed with over 100 cars, ranging from antiques to a 6 second drag Citation. I was bummed because lots of the cars from the show yesterday were there and I could have gotten Pat the pictures of the pink Studebaker, but I didn't bring my camera. I am going back the first Monday in February, and will try to get a picture of it and other cars then.

Thanks again everyone for the nice compliments and for bearing with me.

    Don
