The 'maro's a bit older are cheap now, I even got stuck with one from a guy who owed me some money, it's and '82... Even this vintage has all the parts available for the LS6 conversion.....Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Hey Nick,
Welome to the forum!
Why dont you track down a 98 camaro with the V8 already in it? With all of the things you would have to do to swap out the stock v6 it makes more sense to buy a Camaro with the v8 already in it. (Gm made thousands of v8 camaros) If you did find a v6 camaro cheap you could do the swap, but you would need motor mounts, engine wiring harness, v8 engine, transmission, rearend, possibly gauges, etc. It makes for a tough project trying to find it all (unles you find a wrecked v8 donor car) The Camaro makes for a neat street car with instant respect with its heritage and name. I can't argue with the Corvette either as I have a 2004 ZO6 Corvette. Even in the used market the 30 to 40 thousand dollar price tag is steep.
I agree with the Chevy in a Ford thing. to each their own and I like all makes of cars, but I get disappointed personally when I see a Ford with a Chevie, etc (just my personal taste)
In the end do what makes you happy.
