    84 Ford F 250

     



    Hey Guys , I need some help. I have a p/u 84 ford f250 ford 460 engine with alt not charging battery. I too it off and Not all the connectors are there. I have the batt and the stator or field and not sure if that is correct. Batt is for sure. No ground not on. So i need to knw where the stator wirer cmes from and field so I can trace them back and or run new ones any help will be appriciated

    stator and field wires on the alternator both go to the appropriate connection on the voltage regulator marked F (field) and S (stator). I always run a good ground from the ground connection on the alternator to one of the screws holding the voltage regulator to the fenderwell to ensure that both are grounded....
