Have you thought about somewhat squaring off the bottom of the inlet similar to the engine inlet on 727's? In their original configuration they set so low to the runway that picked anything up in close proximity. The fix was to flatten the bottom of the intake and angle the engine up in respect to the wings. Just a thought.
Now you tell me, where were you 2 weeks ago You have a good point, I always wondered why they were flat on the bottom, I thought it was just for ground clearance didn't think of debris.
