I bet you the car is actually worth quite a bit, think about a possible ebay sale. It is a piece of history.

I'll bet the company that is doing the de-rusting is doing it gratus (or next to nothing) just for the publicity it will attract. Im a little skeptical though when they said they were gonna "clear coat it" to prevent the rust from continuing......

Well if anybody is nutty enough to lay down money for it instead of seeking out a "normal" 57 Belvedere HT they're welcome to it. Absolute top price of a 57 with all factory options possible shows 36K at NADA.

If it were mine I would leave it exactly as it came out of the hole, build a sealed glass trailer for it and make money with it. I would contact every large and small car show around the country and rent it to them as an attraction to use at their show. If I knew this car was coming somewhere close to my home I would pay to see it. I couldn't make it to Tulsa, so this would be worth it IMO. When that faded out I would rent it to some museum.
I don't think there is any way in h*** this car could EVER be returned to a car once more, regardless of how much money you spent. And even if you could, why spend stupid money on it?
