I'v been procrastinating setting the hood on my Falcon because I thought the carb/ air hat would not clear the hood, due to the new setup and cyl head being
taller than the 1bbl setup it had.. well the day came yesterday when I got out the duct tape ( was going to tape off intake after removing carb ) and bolted the hood on. Well b4 I pulled the carb, I figured I'd shut the hood to verify I needed the reverse teardrop... well, I don't need the teardrop. I have 1/2" of clearence, I have the radiator removed so it's clearly visable.... But now I have a brand new Reverse Teardrop scoop I'll have no use for... I shoulda measured first, but the carb and everything appeared to be above the hood line... oh well.. listing for the scoop is in the classefieds. If I actually knew how to put 1 on, I'd probably put it on anyway, but now that I have no reason to. I don't want to risk screwing up the hood if I don't have to..
