I got some pics after getting the Ford home Tuesday nite and I know ALL of you guys are chomping at the bit to see these...
The only thing attached to the frame is the cab and the upper control arms... We strapped a pallet (with casters) to the front frame so we could pull it up onto the roll back to get it home.
We stuck the stock rear suspension back on with one bolt in each hanger so we could move it.
The TCI front suspension and rear leafs should make this dude ride like a car...
I ordered an Eastwood chassis black paint kit this morning and will start getting the frame ready by removing the cab and running board brackets.
I need to get the motor and trans mounts mocked up but that's pretty straight forward and won't take long to do.

    Thanks for looking

I have made some progress on the '49...
I set the "chevy" engine and trans in place last weekend and am working on the engine and tranny mounts. I will have the engine mounts welded in later today (am at work right now...) and will start pulling the cab so I can have free access to the trans and frame to start building the crossmember. I had to cut the old trans xmbr out and I have to remove the rest of it by drilling out rivets.

I am going to do a little more trimming on the engine mounts to move the engine another 3/4's of an inch forward.

This is the drivers side with the shorty header in place...

    Thanks for looking

I ordered an American Autowire Highway 15 kit from paradise Road in Indiana. They had a killer special on them along with free shipping so I saved myself about 70 bucks! Thanks Paradise Road!]

The AAW kits are very complete, right down to new ignition and headlight switches, and will make getting this truck wired up and running pretty simple...
