    DennyW--Yes I was thinking of 3/8 copper tubing, slightly bent, run a die over the one end and use a very thin collar nut in the door opening with a regular nut inside the door to mount it.

    Brickman-- I think you mean a flat 3/4 spring insulated against the door and jamb? I have too many wires, its a 4 door with power windows but could apply a single spring for the door solenoid. Thanks Chuck

    I used the one from SPW and it works great. www.specialtypowerwindows.com It was $28, called a FWC (flexible wire conduit)
