I think Pops gets a couple extra mpg just by the aerodynamics of his "forehead"!

You seem to have forgotten the pictures of the vault room loaded with cash!
Don said his vault was empty at the end of the build!!!HaHa!" "No matter where you go, there you are!" Steve.

Who needs money, I think eating regularly is highly overrated anyway. My ex-wife and I were talking the other day and she was saying she is hesitating to buy a new condo because she wants to save the money for the kids for when something happens to her. I told her I am leaving them my inheritance in steel and fiberglass. As usual, she didn't see the humor in that comment.

I always worry over that! I have some nice old tools, a harley and now the truck, all of value to the right person. To the wrong person they equal junk , but to the affectionato their very valuable. So if I pass before her, they'll go to the highest bidder at a steal! She just doesn't see the value in these things!
Vice versa, if she goes first her ceramic figurines, knitting supplies, etc.. would be sold for a huge loss!
Our legacy lasts only as long as there is someone to appreciate it! Luckily for you Don, both of your boys will inherit your passion, good memories, and an automotive legacy( much more valuable than cash in my opinion!)" "No matter where you go, there you are!" Steve.

Man, you do nice work! Also, that alternator & brackets is one neat setup! That bracket will never give up from vibration & fatigue and the simplicity is attractive.
I'll bet you could sell a bunch of those right here...

Nice looking nerf bar! And I agree, it looks cool with dual lights.
As far as removing your plate; how about a flip-up (or down) arrangement of some sort. On my son's sedan, he used the license plate holder off of an old Nova to hide his gas filler. Your plate might not be visible with the trailer in place, but at least it would still be attached... Just a thought.
I, too, have been thinking about some sort of small "luggage rack" that I can attach/ detach on my turtle deck. There's an old saying: "great minds think alike!"Jim

I'll keep an eye out for the flip down tag mount. I've probably walked past dozens of them at the old back woods junk yard I used to go to and never figured I'd need one.
Harbor Freight has an aluminum cargo rack that might be fairly easy to cut down. Should be light weight too.
Got the brake plumbing finished today. I'm getting down to the very last fab stuff. Feels good.

I definately like the double lights. It just fills the space nicely! Nice write up on the fabrication process too! I love this site for posts just like yours. Steve." "No matter where you go, there you are!" Steve.

I keep telling my wife and myself that!I have had repeated problems with dim light in my harley softtail tail light. It is a tombstone lens made of glass, and I have to run super bright bulbs, but on long trips tha vibration takes out the filament. I tried a really expensive LED replacement bulb, but it was so dim you couldn't see the brake lights during the daylight. I wish I was smart enough to invent the tail light bulb!Steve.

I found that out too, you get what you pay for in those lights. You are better off to spend good money on them and get really bright ones."Sunshine, a street rod and a winding beautiful Ozarks road is truely Bliss!"
Dammit, another good ol boy gone. Condolence to the family. RIP Mike
