Why is it that when you're broke you find the good deals on some parts that you need?? Argh!!! Oh well, someday it'll all come together....

Anyway, just checking in. Will post some pics when I actually do something!!

Hi Randy! And a Happy New Year to you as well! I was thinking that I should search out this thread and plug in some updates, "just because"!

I stole some time this past sunday and actually made some progress on mine!
I've been struggling to get the connection at the front to be "just so". The fenders come together and a connector hold it all together but they just wouldn't fit just right so I ended up cutting it all away and "re-working" the joints and after a few attempts it is starting to come together, I didn't plan on being there so no pictures.. But I hope to get back in this weekend so I'll snap a few. I really wish these were metal fenders as I would've been done weeks ago! This fiberglass and trying to get the shape "just so".. it's been kicking my butt!

And a big 10-4 on the deals coming when the pocketbook is empty! Why is it we always remember those deals the most also?!?

Randy, I kinda figured when we didn't hear much from you that you must have made your yearly pilgrimage back to be re-okied.

Now it's time to get back to work on your vehicle(s).

    Welcome back

    Headlight mods....

    Hey fellas,
I did a small little project on mine today. I purchased a halogen headlight conversion kit from Bob Drake several months. Since I had a little time to kill today, here's a few pics of what I did....

Now I just need to clean up the buckets and paint them.

Lookin' good, guys. I too have been a bit under the weather - cold then flu but now I think done till the next time.

That looks like quite a mod, Randy

I got the new 325# (effective rate (300)springs on the front end replacing the 160s (150 effective) as well as make up a front license bracket. I also did a 3rd tail light but need to take a couple of photos of that:

Nice springs, Dave! I see now why you chose that color for your car.....to match your license plate..... Looks great!

Yeah, on my headlights, the sealed beams behind the original glass lenses were never really very bright. Hopefully, the halogens behind the original lens will give me a brighter outlook on things. There is a big rubber grommet that fits into that big hole in the back of the bucket. It's supposed to allow you to change the bulb from the back when necessary.

Hey, thanks, Bobby! I hope it works well. The bucket mods were really simple and a lot cheaper than buying their pre-fab buckets.

Glad to see you posting. It's been a while. Hope you're feeling better.
