Randy I have some one building this for me , he will be final Judge for that . He is a master sheet metal guy though and am sure it will look great .

I will get it back in roller form and finished sheet metal in self etching primer . I will complete the car once its back .

Cool. I'm curious to see what he does with it. Always fun to see everyone's ideas and handiwork. I like the big rims on the back. Hope they work with your fenders.

Sure it will mold right in he does his work like that .


I like the deep dish look , I hope they clear also these are the 3.750 off set . If this rear was 3/4 shorter on each side I think it would be perfect .

He will be putting the body on soon and we will get to see the fit then .

Bobby quick photo of column, not really good photos, notice my Grey carpet has gone green over the years, boy thats really fugly.....it really shows in the pics, don`t notice that bad in the sunlight...

Randy the rear leafs hold this up like stock same set as you TCI , I know lowing blocks are in order now for sure . The aperture of the pic I can't get a good look and how low the front is with M II . Will need some adjustments for sure like maybe 2 inch drop spindles ??

Bobby I have the same TCi rear, I put two inch blocks under the rear, still considering switching to a early mopar style spring, they ride a lot nicer but will have to change the mounting points.

Rich with my 29 inch tall tires may not have to lower as far but we will see and trial by looks is coming soon .

A lot of times those springs also don't exactly center the rear wheel in the wheel well on 37 & 38 Fords. Chassis Engineering Inc has a 1.5" lowering block kit that give up to 3/4" adjustment for the rear end to center the wheels. I'm going to get that kit because my wheels need to move forward 5/8 to 3/4". It'll be hard to tell if you need it till you put the rear fenders on.
I have 2" drop spindles on the front of mine, too.
The car is looking good. Glad to see he's making progress.

Best place to get info on a 37 and build it right is RIGHT here , you guys have been great . I know with your help when the time it comes back we will together get it looking great and sitting just right .

Chassis Engineering Inc has a 1.5" lowering block kit that give up to 3/4" adjustment for the rear end to center the wheels. I'm going to get that kit because my wheels need to move forward 5/8 to 3/4". It'll be hard to tell if you need it till you put the rear fenders on.

Good info , but if it needs to be adjusted I will make new blocks though the sound of them slotted might mean some movement . Also I have asked a lot about 2 inch drops up front and a lot said it gets low enough but the pic looks almost stock also .

The pics of the lowering block kit looks like they give you a couple of hole choices rather than a slot. Shouldn't be any movement with that. Also, I may have mentioned this earlier but my current rear tires are 28". I think it probably needs 29" for that wheel well.

As for the front, you might have to wait till you get the engine in and let the springs settle a little for getting the drop spindles.

Randy the rear is dead center in the pick no rub and they are out side in the opening .

I like the Idea of the shackle threw the frame wonder why they set it at such a stock height ? Well blocks will get it down '

On the MII I ordered it with the long control arms didn't ask the difference in length but figured more frame clearance would be best . The wheel in pic is a early Crown Vic 15 inch 4.5 inch back spacing

Hey fellas, long time, no post! Happy New Year!! Hope your holidays were good!
I was in Oklahoma for a couple of weeks and have been working a lot since I got back to SoCal, but not on my car.

Why is it that when you're broke you find the good deals on some parts that you need?? Argh!!! The BMW convertible front bucket seats I want are posted on CL this week at a very reasonable price and my pockets are empty!!! Rats!!! I know it's going to be a while before I can actually drive the car but it would be helpful to plan around them. I can't really fabricate a center console or any of that stuff until I know for sure how the seats are going to fit. Oh well, someday it'll all come together....

Anyway, just checking in. Will post some pics when I actually do something!!
