Thanks Mike for posting that. I like that method, and it totally squares the car.

Haven't talked to you lately, how have you been?

The car just keeps getting better. Wish I could come up with better compliments.

You should take the unfinished car if you can. Ten years ago my then fiancee and I towed the finished chassis of my 46 about a 100 miles to a show. I set it up on an inclined area sideways so you could see the whole thing easy. People were crowded around it all weekend. Most folks said they never got to see a rod in that stage.

Thanks alot. I bet they did enjoy seeing your car like that. As you said, most people never get to see one in progress. I did that years ago with my '27. Body was on, but still in white gelcoat, but frame and all running gear was pretty far along. I took 2nd place in unfinished class, but the fun was the questions and comments of people who stopped to look at it.

I may do that again with this one.

Brad: I'm trying to stay OUT of the old age home.........if I did that it would sign my papers for sure.

My pictures should be better from now on. Dan got me an early Fathers Day present, a new digital camera. This one does videos too, so I can do my YouTube first drive when the car is done. I knew if I hinted enough he would pick up the message. (No, actually, it was a real surprise, and super nice of him)

Here is a picture using my new camera. No more dark areas. I thought I was going blind with the old one, but it was just wearing out, I guess.

Oh, I got my tierod painted orange tonight. Should be dry enough tomorrow to put it on, then my front end will be 100 percent done.

We can take it the other way too if you're feeling nostalgic for the old camera...............

Yep, the "good old days." If it would have kept up Bob, that is how my pictures would have ended up looking.

I love the new one already, but it is more sensitive to movement, so I have got to learn to not move it when I push the button.

I think he already fixed me up with that. I am such a computer/electronics genius ( ) that this all means nothing to me, but the card reads 4 gb, and Dan said it was good for hours and hours, plus tons of pictures. It also has a rechargable battery which is good. I was spending money all the time on AA batteries for the other one. Oh yeah, it has sound too, so that is cool.

    Present company excepted.

Yep Denny, I was really surprised. They are both good about taking care of the old man. Just last week Dan convinced me to drill the bolts on my wishbones so that I can safety wire them. I explained to him that he was missing the point, if something happens to me, all the stuff I've accumulated in the shop will be theirs. He said "Yeah, I know. Why do you think I'm trying to keep you ALIVE !!"

And it's probably one of the XD cards that's smaller than a postage stamp. Someday I'll tell the story about how these cost me a pile.
