Henry, when I was looking at one of my books it said when sectioning you have to either raise the floor or lower it because your bringing the entire body closer together or shortening it... Anyways, 68 Chevelle, when they sectioned it then most likely they put new wood in or maybe even metal. Could be metal but you never know until you look. Either one is ok and doesn't really matter because if you keep the car dry then no worries about the wood rotting out again for years to come.....
