Happy Veteran's Day Ken, and to all those here who served and came back to rejoin society in any way they chose and were able as Veterans. Today we honor you, and we collectively say "Thank You for your service!" While we remember those who gave all every day, we honor them on the last Monday in May, Memorial Day.

Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

To me, Veteran's Day acknowledges all those who served, living or dead while Memorial Day commemorates those who have passed on and especially those who laid down their life in combat.
As an example Audie Murphy, the most decorated soldier of WWII, died in a plane crash in Virginia in 1971 while my uncle was killed by a Japanese sniper on Saipan.
They were both VETERANS to be honored on Veteran's Day and commemorated on Memorial Day.
