My daughter Missy elected to do home schooling for my Grandkids this year (something I fully support….. and the kids seem to be doing pretty well with it).
This school year I’m teaching the Constitution to my Grandson (10) and Granddaughter (14) on Wednesdays. On this Wednesday we took a break from that and just talked about the Flag and Veterans Day. I got to tell them about their ancestors who had served in the Military and a bit about what they had gone through. We even brought out my Great Granddads 48 star Flag that he hung on his front porch throughout WWII and the flag my Dad put up daily until he died. All in all it was a pretty good day and I had a pretty decent smile on my face when I put the flag up yesterday.
By the way during my stint in the Army I was required to give classes and briefings and my last 5 years were spent as the NCOIC and Senior Instructor at an Academic Department in the Army’s Intelligence School (something I really enjoyed). I also found out that that was a heck of a lot easier than teaching a 10 and 14 year old.
.I've NEVER seen a car come from the factory that couldn't be improved.....
