Bob, Shine good to hear your both mending up OK.
I got done with my occupational therapy and Dr visits a couple of months ago and think I'm pretty much towards the end of the period of building back up to the level of activity where I was before the surgery.
That takes time too and in the beginning I was really beginning to wonder if I wasn't going to be relegated to being the old man sitting on the front porch in a rocking chair.
I still don't feel like I'm completely back where I was but in the 90-95% range (still feel I get tired easier).....good thing too, putting the new house in has involved taking down and putting fences back up, locating and digging up some water lines and today will be trimming back some trees for a power line.
Just hang in there guys.

Went in under my rib cage in back. Impossible to get comfortable to sleep. Sleeping in my recliner .
My torso is so large i ended up with 7 holes instead of 5 . Lucky me . 2 more weeks before release to limited activity . Hell of a way to get a vacation . But maybe I bought enough time to get troy raised to manhood . Yeah they used glue to close. Same as last time.Last edited by shine; 06-15-2019 at 06:22 AM.

Getting better is good!
I'm mending nicely also: two adjacent crushed bulging discs.
A few months back I completely blew out my back, literally couldn't walk for half a day. Muscle relaxers and naproxen got me through. It was a month before I could put my socks and shoes on without major pain.
The VA finally approved chiropractic and it's helping, and I'm making a definite effort to be mindful of everything that I do. All throughout the day I'll do "hanging stretches" and I force my posture very straight.
Anyway, I don't expect to ever be pain free, nor to bend over and pick up more than 50 pounds again, but I'm back active and mobile so that is good..
Education is expensive. Keep that in mind, and you'll never be terribly upset when a project goes awry.

Get an inversion table. If used regularly they do wonders .
