It is indeed a nice place, very comfortable and 'user friendly'. And the views to the mountain in our backyard, and to the Tasman sea to the coast are absolutely bloody gorgeous.
We built it to our own design, and it took several years for us to get the plans as we wanted the place to be.
We must've driven the architect crazy.
And yes; it is hard to move after so long. I've accumulated so much 'stuff' over the years...I've got two containers almost full, I'm going to have to empty them at Our New Selection, bring them back and fill them again!
I bought the property close to fifty three years ago, and this is the third house we've had on that site. The house that was there when I bought the place was built 'ship-lap', with no internal 2x4 internal framework at all; if you were to lean on the wall in a strong wind you could feel them move.
But we lived in that for seven or eight years before we could afford to build a (very) modest new one.johnboy

Some mistakes are too much fun to be made only once.
I don't know everything about anything, and I don't know anything about lots of things.
