I remember those days Seth.

Carrying hot water from the house to thaw frozen hydrants, relighting the old drip stock tank heaters that had gone out over night (they'd smoke like a train when when you finally got them going).

Of course a few days later it would rain. melt the snow and turn everything into a muddy mess and you'd wish it would freeze again.

We raised hogs mostly and boy the barn lots could be a heck of a mess.......but given a choice, I'd still rather do that than put up with the smell of the hog confinements they use now.
