    Winter weather

Sometimes we can complain about winter but sometimes it sure is pretty.

You really are an artist Seth.

Now how come you left the tractor outside again? Now it's got snow all over it!

I'm paying to fly little sister to me in Georgia, from the 'snow belt' in Coeur D'lane Idaho. She's had enough of (as Dad calls it ) "That miserable white ship". I changed a letter but you get the idea.

Thanks, it's easy to take a bunch of pictures with phones these days. I think that tractor is a dedicated ornament.

Seth you are correct, its pretty at least as long as it's not where I am at! I would like to stay with pictures and not the real thing

It goes both ways. This pic was from the same day, apparently I left the hose on the hydrant too long last week and it froze up. Of course a guy doesn't know that till he needs water.

    I remember those days Seth.

Carrying hot water from the house to thaw frozen hydrants, relighting the old drip stock tank heaters that had gone out over night (they'd smoke like a train when when you finally got them going).

Of course a few days later it would rain. melt the snow and turn everything into a muddy mess and you'd wish it would freeze again.

We raised hogs mostly and boy the barn lots could be a heck of a mess.......but given a choice, I'd still rather do that than put up with the smell of the hog confinements they use now.

You have to love Iowa. Snow one day, Ice the next 3, then some snow on top of it with some sleet and more ice. Then it's 45* the next day. 53* today, and each day is closer to spring.
