I find myself envious of all the handgun talk. Here in Canada, we are very restricted in the ownership and use of handguns. A special (ie. difficult to obtain) licence is needed and you can only (legally) transport a handgun between your home and a licenced shooting range unless you are a LEO.
When I was young my dad owned a (highly illegal) 38 S&W revolver that I was able to do quite a bit of shooting with. I got to be relatively good with it, but now my shooting is restricted to rifles and shotguns.

I was going to say that I sympathize with you, but I really don't. There should be enough good folks up there in God's country to kick out the liberals and restore some common sense and adopt a 2nd amendment such as ours. The difference between a citizen and a subject is gun control and it's not about guns but it is about control.

Unfortunately the larger cities are predominately liberal and have control of both our provincial and federal governments. Our previous Conservative government was able to reverse the draconian gun registration laws that a previous Liberal federal government had passed but getting a "2nd Amendment" type of law would be almost impossible in this country given the strength of the Liberals here. Sad but true. Their idea of gun control is gun elimination.

This conversation as far as these guys ribbing you for your Country's laws, may not be taking place if the female got elected this past go around..................... Our country would have seen major gun control changes no doubt about it, and would be right on our way where the liberals want it to a gun free nation. I'm so glad it didn't go that way though.
