...............it's good enough for me. That would be Jack, aka Henry Rifle, not Jack F. What is it? Moving to Texas (sorry brother Falcon, Idaho was close, but not the choice for us). Now, I don't know Jack (hey!!! don't agree with that part of the sentence so quickly!)...........any better than most who've only met him on these boards, but he strikes me as a thoughtful guy. After a few years of evaluating some options we made our choice. Next week it's load 'em up and roll out time for our household after spending a good part of 4 decades in the Northwest.

Biggest change in the realm of the hot rod world is going to be the garage. I'll be cutting my space roughly in half. In the process of prepping for the move nearly all my shop equipment found new homes. The big air compressor, the blast cabinet, one of the welders, plasma cutter, and so on are all gone. Seven decades of wear and tear on the body had made using some of that stuff pretty difficult, but I'll still miss the convenience of having much of it when the spirit moves me. I've still got the main tool box and most of the smaller shop tools, so won't be without basic fab equipment, just not the heavier stuff. The reality is likely that the '32 sedan in process will be the last build, and of late I've farmed out most of that labor to my pal Greg to perform. Once he's done I'll have to figure out how to get it down to us so that I can do the final paint and assembly. Sounds simple enough.........eh?

We'll be about an hour north of Austin so plenty of car related activities should be available to continue the old habits. The two roadsters and the Mustang will have an enclosed ride down next week as well, so a crowded garage is assured. Even though we'll have internet access via phone, as a practical matter we'll be going "dark" for about a week or so after next Monday until we're able to set up the new internet connection.

Moving is an intense project and has eaten a lot of time, especially in the past month or two with buying the new house, selling the old, planning, arranging, packing, and soon shipping. Whew! But now...............on to the next new adventure in life.
