It surprised me that you dont have until i looked up Clinton City Missouri and saw the population is less than 10,000 and how far it is from anywhere bigger.

Also found 'The time flies Malt shop' at the back of the gas station but it looks like its a museum not a working diner.

Yep, thats Clinton, several great car museums in town and restored gas stations as well a restored dealerships (Desoto) our town is very old car "friendly". However none are like your metal building with a cool diner inside!! You are correct the malt shop is private and not open for business.

Here is a photo of my '37 off the square here in Clinton, we boast the 4th largest square in the US and have a monthly cruise night. Lots of the old buildings have murals on them here, many repainted by a local artist, the backdrop on this building is a original left over from when we had a Coke bottling plant.cocacola3.jpg

Wow! Great colour contrast!.. sorry, color contrast

Interesting buildings and the old Desoto dealership looks cool. HOVER MOTOR COMPANY: Downtown DeSoto open house reveals an unforgettable collection of automotive passion in downtown Clinton

I bet the cruise is a slice of American pie.
