Another neat story, but it amazes me how many of these guys must have been running around apparently only carrying liability insurance back in the day, or else the insurance company would own the car today having paid off on a theft claim all those years ago, seems to me.

I am wondering that too Roger as to how these vehicles end up back with original owners if the Ins. Companies have paid out on any claim. Cool car and story but I don't understand how it all works over there Ins. wise. Darn nice of the guy to pay the guy his money for the new engine though.

Wow, what a sweet story. That is a very nice car and I'm surprised they found it and it was so darn nice! It was great of the original owner to pay the old owner's son for the engine. That would be real tough to think a car was yours to have it taken due to it being stolen 25yrs ago. Especially if you had no clue. On the insurance thing, maybe a claim was never filed? IDK I have wondered the same thing. Maybe the insurance company finds out later and sends the owner a bill in the mail?
