So last night was an impromptu young gun night at the shop. I think they just wanted to keep me occupied and be away from their front doors on Halloween night. We all were enjoying our usual verbal bantering about motorcycles and the new On Any Sunday movie. I looked up to see a little gal about 11 or 12 all dressed up like a lady bug making here way through our closed gate. Standing next to her was a guy who looked to be my height right around 6". He had a white shirt on that looked like it went through the chain saw massacre episode. I was quick to tell them that I didn't have any candy for Halloween. They didn't want to hear it and kept walking towards me. I notices the bloody guy had a a black assault blade opened and locked in his hand.
First thing I thought was Halloween prop knife. This guy got right in my face and said "Sir, do you know how to make the blade on this knife go back in the handle?
Sure son... By this time Mark who was here and a Navy Seal by trade stepped right up and the cross examination started. This kid left knowing everything about this knife, make , model, where it ws made even who designed the original style! He then went on to tell the kid how to maintain it! What a riot. This kid was huge for his age and once he got up close enough to us to see him I don't think he could of been any older than his little girl friend. Oh and the knife was very real, very sharp, and very illegal. I thought the funnest thing about the whole episode was how Mark calmly wiped the knife all down making the kid pluck it out of the rag when giving it back to him! I'm told it is a instinctive reaction. No Finger Prints left anywhere!
Why in the world they were in an industrial part of town is anyone's guess? My Halloween story for Friday night the 31'st of October 2014.
