You could make them out of thin aluminum sheet like is used in the siding industry for soffet and facia and pack them with foam. I used round Rubbermaid ones in the 75 Duster I had, but I used round speakers in the fold down trunk barrier, the top of the back seat folded down, and that's also where I mounted the 6 disc changer.
