Are '49 fenderwells the same as your pickup? Might be able to get you a pair.

yes, I think 48-53 will work. I found out that the truck ones are too tall . If you have some some around that would be great. I don't want you do go through too much trouble though,I haven't looked at all for any yet. I think there might be some at a few places around me also, I just have to call them or stop by. The problem is both of these people have tons of 40's through 60's cars and trucks but never want to sell anything. Let me know what your thinking. thanks

If that doesn't work out for you holler back. I've got a buddy that collects all things Chevy, and he seems to concentrate on the pre-'55 range. Don't know that he'd part with any but expect that he's got some in his stash.

sounds good, I called an old bone yard this morning and they didn't have any. I brought an old 52 there 22 years ago but its gone, guess i should have kept that one. thanks for both of your help.
