I dont want to put anyone here on the spot and I know this is a subject to tread lightly with so if the Mod's feel it is too much feel free to remove it. Im just really upset and dont know where to go with this...

Hummm where to start?

I was surprised a few weeks ago to find a competitor in business pulling some shady stuff. I found that when the pointer hovered over pics for my business on Bing and Google images that the thread was re directed to their web site? I did some home work and found where it was linked from and who's site it was being ran from. Being a business owner I was thinking that the company that was doing the dirty deed probably had one of there over zealous web kids do this on his own. So I was really surprised when I called to confront them and found that their web Guru was the business owner.

After a few minutes of her rants I knew it was going no where fast on the phone so I had my IT guy contact their web hosting company and had the illegal threads disabled. It was done within 5 minutes after he contacted them. My hope was that they would be embarrased and take it down and no one would need to know. Now almost 2 weeks later the flaming gun is still smoking and they still haven't taken off the damaged goods. Only now the link wont transfer to their site. So being somewhat inexperienced with this type of stuff what Should my next point of action be? They haven't taken it off yet so they obviously don't seem to care? Any insight would be appreciated. Heck they even linked the sign that hangs on the front of my buildingto their web site! Some 20 plus images were hijacked for who knows how long... For those of you in business look over your on line images often to insure that the business that it generates is not stolen.

Time for your attorney to send them a "cease and desist" letter.

A letter from your attorney to their ISP will either get their site shut down, or the offending content removed, or both. Nobody likes "theft by deception".......

Nor would anyone I know want to do business with people who sink to such lows in deceptive business practices.

Theft of business and trademark? If the attorney is getting busy, cease and desist should be the tip of the iceberg.

I like the idea of a single bullet to the head. I was just reading that 4% of the inhabitants of this planet are sociopaths with no conscience, not caring if what they do is wrong according to the majority.......4%, that's like line up 25 people and one of them is an enemy of the other 24.

That's too easy. I'd rather find some out of work Crow or Blackfeet Indians and let them see how long they could keep them alive while skinning them.

Tech, that's an interesting stat. I heard recently that it only takes 4% of a population to overthrow a government. Also interesting, the recent uprising in the Ukraine had less than one percent of population participation. Hell, they gave the world a blueprint to follow: seize control of all minor government buildings, leaves the chiefs with no Indians.

I'm certainly not going to pretend I know enough to put a label on anyone. And my suspicions are being that this was a Washington post paper that it must be talking about the Washington D.C. population. I know a few of them are Sociopaths!

Who know why one feels the need to divert business from another in this fashion? I've always thought they were a stand up business and we honestly respected them and their products. I tell you what though, I now know different and as a result of their lack of judgment I am doubling down and will now become a very very competitive foe of theirs. The new business plan has been thought through and will start to be implemented very soon.

PS---and the 4% of the population that are sociopath's all have concealed weapon permits, work for the Koch Brother's, and are called Tea Baggers in political circles!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the help here guys... I believe there is truly a thing called Karma. Pretty tough on the 4%'ers I'm sure but for the rest of us that are busting the hump everyday to improve things, well... I wont go there! I appreciate the input. Just drawing attention to the deed is probably enough for me. If nothing else it has taught me to stay on my toes and to stay alert. It has also enlightened me as to who to watch in the future extra close! Must be making someone nervous? Thanks again for the direction and input.

Just an up date about this slimy business practice... I posted this up on the 10th post of this thread. It gives the details up to this point.

I had 3 options when dealing with their hosting co. Shut own the site, remove the pics from their site, or lock them down. After a lot of thought I didn't want to hurt their employees as shutting down the web site would of most likely ruined their business for sometime. If I removed the pics no one would ever know what they did and no biggie to them. So I opted to lock those pics down. They have had all kinds of time to get those Pics off the search engines as it is very easy to take care of.

knowing who you are talking about makes it very believable. you should have shut them down period.
