What did you mean, "...farther than your zip code", Don, just going far enough to get out of your home zip? That happens every time we go to town in a metro area......Roger

Well, my '37 has been driven 0 miles for the last 6 years as it's still in pieces in my garage.....

My '66 F100, which I'm also going to classify as a "Rod" of sorts gets 8-9000/yr as my daily driver. It definitely gets out of my zip code but haven't crossed the state line yet in the 5 years I've owned it but with the EFI 5.0/AOD transplant this last year, I feel a few road trips coming on....

Not pokin fun or lookin down my nose @ any1, just that I know a few that won't drive their car more than 10-20 miles from home as they are afraid something might happen to it.
I'll call them type "ZipCode Hotrodders.
Knew a few when I lived in AZ that would trailer their cars to Scottsdale/Phoenix for a function from Prescott.
It's was only 100 miles down the hill fir christ sake. When I get to where I was goin, I forgot why I went there>

Yep. I got in about 2 miles on the old Chevy today. Skies were clear with temps in the 40's so I warmed up the battery, checked the tires and brakes and took it for a spin. Felt good.. It's not on the road right now or I would have taken it fartherLast edited by Matt167; 01-15-2014 at 02:15 PM.

Just over half as much as you this year, and a third of that was following your Greybeard 32 around. I gotta get a life.

Gee, my Mustang hasn't been more than 50 miles from home in 5 or 6 years, guess I qualify for the club!!! But if you wanna come up some Saturday night and play with me and the rest of the kids, come on!!!
PS--Most of "the games" start sometime after midnight, don't show up expecting a show and shine!!!! Oh yeah, when I take it to Sioux Falls (50 miles) on a Saturday to do some cruizin' (or whatever) it makes that trip in the trailer!!! Suppose I'm double qualified now!!!!---but it is a different zip code!!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

The first weekend I got my 40 I drove it out of it's zip code, made repairs, drove it through a few more zip codes, then pushed it part way to another. I put as many miles on it as I could until I couldn't stand all the hackery that was done to it and now it is a trailer queen. As in torn apart awaiting it's turn to get fixed.

Probably around 1,000 miles, I need a Gear Venders Overdrive, it's geared too low for long trips, but I have a lot of fun with those gears!

I pushed the truck at least 100 ft over the course of the last year.

I did almost 3000 miles on mine. I plan to do a lot more this year starting as soon as the weather breaks out of winter. So far I've only driven it in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware. So I'd like to expand my interstate travels. There's some drives to Maryland and New York on my radar screen for this year and if I can work it in, up the coast to Massachusetts and take it on the ferry over to Martha's Vineyard to visit friends who live there and blast around some nice roads on that island.Nick

I check in everyday and some are better than others. I don't think Brent has anything to do with the forum anymore, but I'm not sure. Hopefully as time moves on the forum will get better.
Where is everybody?
