Well let us see if I can post a new picture. I did order the suggested rubber boot for the alternator wire but it is way too big for the very tight space between the front corner of the bock and the alternator (as installed by the guy who insisted that I have an electric water pump or he would not guarantee the transmission!). OK I got the picture here for anyone who might want to see it. The rubber boot is in the clear box in top of my horn so you can see the size. In addition you can see the edge of the Radio Shack perf board wrapped with several layers of electrical tape between the alternator and the shoulder of the SBC block. Due to a recent tuneup by Bruce Orlandi including new plugs, a new starter and a new battery the car started easily and ran great on a short test run. Bruce Orlandi also swapped out the Corvette pressure module that came with the "Eat-My-Shift" 700R4 and replaced it by a Chevrolet sedan unit. It still shifts hard with a chirp going into second on hard acceleration but the jerk is less sudden than before. I think I will keep it this way because it still has a little "Hot Rod" acceleration with the chirp but the jerk on the passenger(s) is less severe than before!
