    I hear ya Russ.
Ya we have Calico Ghost town close by and Bonnie Springs and they too are like you say Tourist traps.
And they have shoot out's in the streets and train rides and such.
But I want to see place that maybe falling down and was built in early 1900's.
I wouldn't mind taking a metal detector and looking for stuff in the dirt.
I don't really care if it's worth anything I just like finding little trinkets.
You know something that say's it older then dirt, I just think that stuff is cool.

Us to. it's a trip to hold an item that was a prize possession to someone a hundred years ago. maybe a ring that some kid put on the neighbor girls finger knowing he was gona get lucky by doing it or a rusty bumper bolt that was part of their first car………..
Guess I'm waxing nostalgic today (more than usual) as I sold my business yesterday that I started with a friend (who is dead now) 31 years ago. makes a person look back at the long and winding road. much of which is behind me. No complaints here, mind ya. just makes me think.
