This what my brothers egineering corp,was involved in before he passed away.He had told me about it,,but the video really explains it,,thanks for posting that,,when he tryed to explain it to me,,I just couldn't get a picture in my head of how it was done.I've always liked videos of how things are made,,or accomplished.He was making weekly trips to several locations throughout the world,,to help with the drilling setup.When friends of the family,used to ask,,"well,,what do you and your brother do now?,,my answer always was,,,well,,we're both in oil,,he gets it out of the ground,,AND,,,I play in it",,Unfortunately,,his company was also involved with "deep well drilling",in the gulf,,,and we've seen the end results of that,,I'm kind of glad he wasn't around for the traggic end to that.Thanks again

Just imagine how much imagination, and developement it took to conceive and realize this marvelous technology. In hindsight I'm sure it looks much more simple and logical than it did before execution. Probably were a lot of failed experiments along the way to settling on the final method. Hardly anybody ever seems to think about the "windfall profits" it takes to come up with this stuff.

That's an excellent video! The fracking (note the spelling difference) process has changed the playing field on oil & gas production in the US, and as shown is a process that has lots of safeguards built in to protect the freshwater aquifer.

Actualy today when they sink a water well they are supposed to seal it in a similar way so not to contaminate the water. Sorry about the spelling never noticed

But recently on our TV here in NZ there was an excellent program on Fracking and one point outlined was that it has been banned in several countries due to polluting the water etc, and due to the the white collars pushing the blue coolars to work faster resulting in accidents that ain't the easiest to clean up. One word that comes to mind is GREED. Also it has been proved that fracking does cause earthquakes and although it is being used here in some parts of the North Island,I personally would agree to have it stopped and banned for ever in NZ.

Thou the technology is amazing they still need to study the outcome before they drill...read on..
The Human Story

Yes,as I thought, the human cost is great and yet the people behind these drilling companys pay the politicians to keep them on side so the average Joe or Judy on the street ain't aware of the dangers. Greed, greed, and more greed, and too hell with how many people or animals die as long as my hidden bank account overseas is bulging with the green back. Sad real isn't it???
