Yup, what Don said! Haven't been to the BJ auction for 10 years or so, but I was really impressed with the quality of the final day cars then and I'm certain it's only gotten better. Always considered the prices at Scottsdale to be a basis for what cars will sell for in the following year. The money grubbers who try to copy what sold big at the previous auction usually fall far short on quality with the cars they put together, then wonder why nobody will part with big bucks for their offering....

The tv coverage just doesn't do service to the quality of these final day cars, they are awesome to say the least!!! Fit, finish, and detail to the same level of the most pristine museum quality pieces on the planet!!!! Even if you don't have the $$$$$ to bring home one of these cars, just being able to walk around and look at the top of the line cars at auction is well worth the price of admission!!!!

I thought the prices at Miami were equal to the cars they bought for the most part. As with any auction a few unworthies brought stupid money, probably because of someone's memories of a similar car that they had or wanted when they were kids. A few didn't bring what I thought they should, but again tv doesn't show what the quality was on the build... Just my opinion, but I don't think the BJ auctions at the other locales ever bring out the same caliber of cars that show up at Scottsdale--I think Scottsdale is the premiere auction, and the others seem to be a grade or two below on quality....
