Yeah, Gary can probably get more than juan joke from around there!!Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon
It's much easier to promise someone a "free" ride on the wagon than to urge them to pull it.
Luck occurs when preparation and opportunity converge.

So there is a Jet drier on the top part of the track blowing stuff down onto the inside apron ahead of Juan.He comes flying down the track and goes to the apron to get around.Gets in some marbles and loses the car crashing into the trailer.Everyone is saying something broke, something broke in the car see the sparks!!!. Well I saw sparks of cars bottoming out on all the cars that spun out.He almost cost the race...............

Gary - watch it again - a long trail of smoke from underneath, he starts around sideways then the brakes get locked up - BANG. Montoya is way too good and experienced to lose it that easily at the bottom of the track, against the yellow line. And I don't even like him!!! He represents many arrogant rich Colombians that I had to work with in my job (there are many Colombians, the majority, that are great people as well and that I enjoyed being with)Dave W

Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

He had returned to the pits to have a vibration in all gears checked out--they jacked up the car and turned the left wheel while looking under the car for driveshaft turning--
I think(from past experiance) that the differential carrier (which Nascar guys occasionally lighten)(and I have seen unlightened ones break) probably broke and after a short while a spur gears cross shaft came out locking up the rear causing the uncontrolled slide---And I have seen in on GM stuff also, altho all the Nascar stuff is Ford 9 inch

He was on the radio after leaving the pits saying that the rear end felt like it was moving under accel & decell just before that incident.
